What is Style Vault?

Style Vault is Australia’s leading luxury accessories rental platform, offering designer jewellery, handbags and accessories for hire or sale. Our mission is to provide access to luxury while promoting sustainability and circular fashion.

Where is Style Vault based?

We are based in Sydney, Australia, and we ship Australia-wide.

Do you have a pick-up or drop-off location?

At this time, we do not have a pick-up or drop-off location, but we hope to offer this in the future!

Can I speak to someone about styling advice?

Yes! If you need help selecting the perfect accessories, email us at service@stylevault.com.au or DM us via socials.

How does renting with Style Vault work?

1. Browse & Choose – Explore our curated collection and select the perfect item for your occasion.

2. Select Your Rental Period – Choose between a 4-day or 8-day rental, based on your needs.

3. Fast & Reliable Delivery – We’ll express ship your item via Australia Post, ensuring it arrives on your chosen start date.

4. Enjoy & Return – Make a statement at your event, then return the item using our easy, prepaid return packaging.

Can I purchase an item instead of renting it?

Yes! Some items in our collection are available for sale. If an item is available for purchase, it will be clearly marked on our website.

Renting & Memberships

Do I need a membership to rent?

No, you can rent as a one-time hire or opt for a membership. Our Style Vault Membership gives you site credit, exclusive access to items and discounts on shipping and purchases. 

What are the benefits of becoming a member?

More Value for Your Membership – Enjoy greater Style Vault credit than the cost of your membership.
Exclusive Discounts – Access special rates on purchases.
Early Access – Be the first to explore new arrivals.
A Premium, Ever-Changing Collection – Curate a jewellery box filled with luxury pieces and accessories, updated regularly for your style evolution.

How does the membership model work?

We offer two tiers:

Tier 1 ($75/month)

  • $100 Site credit
  • 5 % off purchases
  • One complimentary shipment per month

Tier 2 ($150/month)

  • $200 Site Credit
  • 5% off purchases
  • Two complimentary shipments per month

Minimum commitment: 2 months.

Consignment

How does consignment work with Style Vault?

At Style Vault, we offer a unique opportunity to rent or sell your designer pieces with ease.

1. Submit Your Item – Share your luxury pieces for consideration.
2. We Handle the Rest – If accepted, we provide prepaid packaging for seamless shipping.
3. Featured Listing – Your item is showcased for rental or sale in our exclusive collection.
4. Earn & Enjoy – Receive monthly leasing income or proceeds when your item sells.

What commission do I receive for rentals of my item?

Once you submit your item for consignment, we will provide you with a tailored offer detailing the rental commission for your
piece.

What commission do I receive for sales?

For Items Priced Between $250 - $1,000: You earn 82% of the sale proceeds (Style Vault retains 18%).
For Items Priced Between $1,000 - $4,000: You earn 84% of the sale proceeds (Style Vault retains 16%).

What if my item isn’t rented within 60 days?

If your item remains unrented for 60 days, you have the following options:
1. Request Return of Item – We’ll return it to you (shipping fee applies).
2. List for Sale – We can list it for sale at a price determined by our team.

What if my item is damaged or lost?
  • While in Our Possession: If your item is lost or damaged, you will be reimbursed for the full agreed value.
  • While Rented Out: The renter is fully liable and must reimburse the full listed RRP or Sale price of the item (whichever is the lesser amount), plus any lost income or costs due to the item being unavailable for future rentals.
  • Renter Failure to Pay: If the renter fails to pay, Style Vault will take reasonable steps to recover the amount. Style Vault however, does not assume liability for unpaid amounts, and consignors acknowledge the risk that full reimbursement may not be guaranteed.
Do I have access to my consigned item?

Yes! You can borrow back your item once a month for free (plus shipping).

Shipping & Returns

Where do you ship?

We ship Australia-wide via express courier.

How do I return my rental?
  1. Place the item back in its original packaging.
  2. Secure the prepaid return label.
  3. Drop the package off at an Australia Post location or express post box. Do not use standard red post boxes.
What if my return is late?

A flat late fee of $25 per day will be charged for each overdue day (up to 7 days). If the item is not returned within 7 days, you will be charged the full RRP for the item of the item.

What if my item doesn’t arrive on time due to shipping delays?

If your item is delayed in transit and does not arrive in time for your event, we will refund the rental amount minus a $35 shipping & admin fee, which will be credited towards your account for your next hire. For last minute rentals we will reach out to you prior to shipping if we are concerned it may not arrive in time before sending.

What if I damage or don't return the packaging?

In our efforts to be a sustainable and truly circular business, our packaging has been custom sourced to ensure our items are protected in transit and our carbon footprint is reduced by using reusable packaging.

If you damage the packaging beyond repair or fail to return it to us there will be a charge incurred of $15. This includes but is not limited to the plastic cases, dust bags, sunglasses cases and jewellery cards.

Damage, Loss & Cleaning

What happens if my rented item is damaged or lost?

General wear and tear is covered by us.

Significant damage (significant scratches, missing stones, dents) may incur repair costs.

For Irreparable damage or loss, you will be charged the full RRP or the purchase price where applicable of the item, plus any lost income.

How are items cleaned?

Jewellery and accessories undergo UV sterilisation or ultrasonic cleaning depending on the composition of the item.

Items are polished and checked for any damages before being re-listed.

Can I clean my Item?

Please leave all cleaning to us. We utilise the best possible cleaning solutions for each individual product so we can ensure the quality is not compromised.

Payments & Refunds

What payment methods do you accept?

For all Rentals: Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard) only. We do not accept Bank Transfers, or Cash for rentals.

For consignors receiving payouts from Style Vault: Bank Transfers

Can I cancel my rental?

Free cancellations if requested 72+ hours before the rental period.

$15 cancellation fee if requested within 72 hours.

No refunds once the item has been shipped out.

Do you offer refunds if my item doesn’t arrive on time?

Yes. If an item does not arrive on time due to shipping delays, we will refund the rental amount minus a $35 admin fee, which will be credited towards your next hire.

Do you refund for purchases?

No. We do not offer returns or refunds for change of mind on purchases.

Our rental model provides the ability to try most items before you buy.

To qualify for cancellation a purchase must be cancelled within 24 hours of processing.

Sizing & Fit

How do I know if an item will fit?

All sizing and measurements are listed on the individual product pages. If unsure, please contact us at service@stylevault.com.au or DM us on socials

Account Info

Do I have to create an account?

Yes. In order to process any rentals with Style Vault you need to create a customer profile.

There is no cost to have a customer profile.

How do I change my account password?

If you have forgotten your password, don't worry. You can easily reset it by clicking the 'forgot password' link. Once you click the link, you will receive an email with instructions on how to create a new password. Follow the instructions to set a new password that is secure and easy to remember. Remember to keep your password safe and never share it with anyone.

Can I delete my customer profile?

If you wish for your profile to be deleted, you must note that your verification will be deleted along with it. For any future order you will need to create another customer profile and will have to be re-verified.

Accounts cannot be deleted whilst active orders or unfulfilled issues remain.
